The Visual Link Spanish™ Teaching Method was developed by David S. Clark, director of U.S. Institute of Languages, in 1996. Dave studied Spanish in Peru for two years and later taught at the University level for seven years. Dave created and perfected the Visual Link Spanish™ learning system with the help of a team of native linguists/instructors from around the world. The language is learned by themes like "Basic Needs", "Locations", "Survival Expressions", and "Communication"; to name a few. Within each theme, the language is broken down into groups of words. Words are chosen from each group to form sentences. This is where the magic of Visual Link™ comes together.
Instead of just learning isolated vocabulary words, Visual Link Spanish™ teaches individuals how to form complete sentences. This teaching method enables individuals to quickly start speaking in Spanish. In fact, by the end of the very first interactive Spanish lesson students can already form multiple complete sentences in Spanish.
As you've seen by the lessons, Visual Link™ uses animated pictures related to each word. This is done for a reason. Science has proven that animated pictures associated with words engraves the knowlegde in our long term memory at an increased speed. Animated moving picutures is unique to Visual Link™. Science proves that our brains retain more knowlegde, quicker, when items or words are presented to us in this way.
