"What to Expect from Sales in the First Few Months"
Welcome to Affiliate Training Number 4, "What
Sales to Expect in the First Few Months." In this second
to last training, I wanted to share with you what
I've noticed happens with most new affiliates' sales. This
will help you know what to expect and how to judge the
success during the early goings.
The Pattern
A pattern of sales exists with a majority of new affiliates who start
promoting Visual Link Spanish™. This pattern is usually consistent
with all different types of sites, from Mexico Travel to
Homeschool sites and all others in between. This pattern
has to do with the relationship of Free CD-ROM sales and
Complete Program sales.
Free CD Orders vs. Complete Course Orders
After a new affiliate has the module installed and site visitors
start viewing the free lessons, sales for Free CD-ROMs start
coming in. Our Free CD-ROM contains 19 lessons from our
Complete Course and costs $1.95 (for Shipping and Handling). Commission on this CDs is
just $1. Now I know it is hard to get excited over a $1
commission, but these sales are a good indicator of things to
come.
The important thing to know is that the Free CD-ROM sales
lead to sales of the Complete Course. As I've told you in
the past the single most effective selling tool we have are
the Spanish lessons themselves. These things really work!
Someone can sit down for 15 minutes, go through one lesson
and get up and actually form a sentence in Spanish. The
lessons are fun, easy to use and very effective. The Free CD
gets lessons installed on the customer's computer. As
they start using them and start learning with them, they
don't want to stop and many end up going right on-line
and buying the Complete course.
You Still Get Credit!
The other great thing about selling a lot of Free CDs is
solidifying that customer as your referral. Once they buy
something from us, they are marked in their account as
referred by you. Credit for any future purchases, even if
your cookie has been deleted from their computer, will be
given to you. In addition to this, we will also follow up
with these customers and send them additional offers to
increase the likelihood of them buying the Complete.
Even though commission on a Free CD-ROM is only $1, these
sales are great indicators of future Complete sales and
bigger commissions. Keep this in mind while you are now just
getting started and in the future when you see a large number
of Free CD sales.
