"The Power of a Link in Your Newsletter"

Welcome to Affiliate Training Number 3, "The Power of a Link in Your Newsletter." In this training we will cover two different ad options and the Dos and Don'ts of Newsletter marketing.

Content Ads
The first type of ads available to you as an affiliate are content ads. We've been running our weekly culture newsletter successfully for over two years. During that time we have compiled around 100 different Spanish related topics. All of these past issue topics are available to you giving you approximately two years of content if used once a week. A few of the popular topics covered are: "How to Catch a Taxi in Latin America," "The Tacaño Hand Gesture" and "The Most Common Gringo Mistake." These articles add uniqueness and quality to your newsletter, allowing you to provide your customers with helpful information, while promoting an additional complementary product.

Free Lessons Promotion
The second type of ads are ones that promote our Free Spanish Lessons. Whether you have the affiliate module or not, your most valuable tool for promotion of Visual Link Spanish is the free lessons. If you don't have the module this is a great way to utilize the free lessons on our site. I can give you a special USERNAME and PASSWORD that will give your readers access to all the free lessons in our Membership Section. If you do have the module you can lead readers right back to your site and have them use the lessons there. This helps increase the traffic on your site and allows you to make money from product sales, a Win-Win.

The Don'ts
It is important that you don't send out mailings promoting Visual Link Spanish™ unless you have an opt-in mailing list. Also don't change the content or wording of culture ads. And, of course, don't ever spam in any way, shape or form. This is part of our affiliate agreement and violation of any of these things will lead to loss of all commissions and expulsion from the program.

The Do's
Two of our top selling affiliates each month only promote our free lessons through their newsletters. Both of these affiliates already had a good subscription base to start with, and through good promotion practices sell a good number of courses consistently. Both affiliates have made the free lessons part of every newsletter they send out. This helps show your confidence in the lessons and presents the lessons as a free service you are offering, not just a promotion. Both affiliates have opt-in only email lists and follow all CAN-SPAM Act regulations. This is very important because following these regulations can help build trust with your subscribers. And last of all, both affiliates place the ad in a prominent spot in their newsletter. This has obvious benefits.

Your newsletter can become a very valuable part of your affiliate earnings. We have the tools to help you promote the lessons in the most effective way. The key is finding out what will work best for you.

Sneak peek for next training (What expect with sales during the first few months.)

Take care,

Jason
