Contest
Results:
I'd like to congratulate the winner
of our first ever Affiliate
Contest. The winning sales total
for the month was $544.55 with a
commission of $153.69 (#1 above). The
winning affiliate has already been
contacted, and the $50 prize money which
will be sent out this week!
New Product in Online
Store
We have added a new product to our online
store this month. We now offer the Think
Spanish!™ Magazine to our visitors as
another resource for practicing their
Spanish. Think Spanish!™ Magazine
consists of two parts: a printed magazine
and a companion audio CD. We feel this is a
great complement to our Spanish products,
and we have already had a good response
from customers who have purchased the
magazine.
We will be promoting this new product
mainly through our newsletter. The online
store is the only place the magazine can be
found on our site. Since your visitors have
access to our online store through the
module, they might also purchase the
magazine subscription. Unlike our other
products, since we are reselling the
magazine from a third party, the commission
for affiliates on this product will be $9
for a magazine/audio CD order and $3.60 for
each magazine-only purchase.
Licensed Spanish
Instructors
For you affiliates that run study abroad
programs, here at the U.S. Institute of
Languages we not only sell Spanish
programs, but we also train and license
Spanish instructors. Visual Link
Spanish™ has been successfully taught
at the university level for the past 4
years, and it can also be used as
curriculum for your study abroad program!
If you are interested, let me know and we
can get you special rates and information
about licensing your instructors. We have
programs where they can become licensed
virtually for free.
When the course is taught with an
instructor, it combines overhead
transparency/PowerPoint™ lessons with
software learning and online exam tracking
and testing. It is a system that has proven
effective time and time again!

Add a Testimonial to your Affiliate
Link
The effectiveness of an
affiliate link will dramatically increase with an
official endorsement from you. Your visitors
trust you. Obviously you endorse any product that
appears on your website; otherwise you
wouldn't have it on your site. But an extra
line next to the link stating you've tried
the product or that you suggest trying it,
instills confidence in the product and leads to
greater sales. If you have not had a chance to
see the program itself, I will happily send you
our demo CD-ROM (for free) so you can really see
how the program works.
Put Your Affiliate Link in Ticket
Confirmations
If you run a travel site, a successful way to
earn more money is to put the affiliate link in
your ticket confirmations. You can put something
like, "To learn Spanish Free before your
trip, Click Here!" If you need help setting
it up, I can help you customize the link and
design what to put in the confirmation. Needless
to say, the higher in the e-mail you put the
"learn Spanish" info, the better
results you will have. For help or questions,

New Banner Links
As to links in general, I'm working on
designing a couple of new affiliate links and
banner ads. If you have any requests for
different link sizes or different link designs
please let me know at brock@learnspanishtoday.com.

better fit the needs of your site.
