Hi
I hope you had a good February. It has been a
fun month for me personally because my wife and
I announced to our family and friends that we
are going to have our first baby. To add to
the excitement we also just found out that it
is going to be a BOY! He is due the first of
August.
Our affiliate program is also growing and has
added a few new members this month. The banners
that we implemented last month are performing
well and increasing sales.

Fraudulent
Sales
Due to the nature of doing business on the
internet, we occasionally have fraudulent
orders come through our system. On rare
occasions, one of these fraudulent orders
will come through an affiliate link. Just
so you know the steps we take, I wanted to
review the process we go through when this
happens.
When someone orders a product from our
online store with the intention of only
testing their payment method, our system
flags this as fraud. We have a number of
indicators built in which allow us to
detect and prevent these orders. However,
if one happens to get through, it would
appear to you as just another order. You
would still receive an email telling you
that a sale had been made and it would
appear in your monthly total. Once the
order is recognized as fraud, it is deleted
from our system and, therefore, from your
account. So, I have made an internal
company request, and will be alerted
whenever fraud is detected in an
affiliate's order. I will send you
an email letting you know what has happened
and that the commission has been removed
from your account. As an affiliate, you are
only paid commission on legitimate orders,
so this is why the commission is
removed.
My goal in this is to keep you informed of
what is happening with your account. If you
ever have any questions about your account
or the commission you receive just let me
know.
Page Rank
Search (This month's
tip is provided by
www.affiliatetip.com)
Page Rank Search: One of the burning issues
for affiliates is their Google Page Rank,
as well as the Page Rank for other sites
for potential link exchanges. If you are
not familiar with Page Rank, it is a
numeric value that represents the relative
importance of a site on the Internet. Well,
in the world according to Google, anyway.
The way it works is that when a site links
to another site, Google sees this as a sort
of vote for that other site.

Now or
Right Now!

Spanish™
In
Spanish the word for
"now" is
"ahora". It is pronounced
"ah - or - da". Let's
say you are conversing at work with
a Spanish speaking person and you
tell them about something that
needs to be done "ahora".
What will likely happen is that
they will get around to the task in
an hour or two or possibly even
sometime later in the day. This can
be very frustrating if you need
something done "now". You
may wonder why they are taking so
long to complete the task.
Understanding this term completely
and the culture behind it will help
you avoid frustration and bridge
culture gaps that may exist in this
area.
For
a Spanish speaking person, the word
"now" or
"ahora" actually means
"now, or any time today".
So if you tell a Spanish speaking
person that something has to be
done "ahora" it will
probably get done sometime
today.
So--
how do you let someone know that
something really needs to be done
"now"? Many native
speakers will tell you that the
word for "right now" in
Spanish is "ahorita". But
even that term means within the
next hour or so. For example, many
native speakers will leave and say
they'll be coming back
"ahorita". This means
they'll return within the next
hour or less.
The
way to say "right now" is
"ahora mismo". This
literally means "the same
now". By understanding this
concept, you can avoid many
potential misunderstandings. Be
sure you understand this term well
and start using it "ahora
mismo"!
